Zambezi Gas Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd is a wholly owned Zimbabwean private limited company operating in the coal mining and coalbed methane exploration industry since its incorporation on August 1st, 2002. Zambezi Gas explores, mines, processes and markets coal, coke and their associated by-products.
The company has in its portfolio an operating mine with a mining licence expiring in 2042 as well as an on-going CBM exploration project both of which are situated in the Entuba Coalfields in Hwange, Matabeleland North Province.
The Entuba Rail Siding is located less than 1km from the Company’s mining operation which is approximately 12km from Hwange town.

Our Customers
Zambezi Gas Zimbabwe supplies coal to all the industries in Zimbabwe, South Africa, Malawi, Zambia and DRC. Currently all the power coal is supplied to Zimbabwe Power Company. Coking Coal is supplied to coking coal companies and steel-making companies. Industrial coal is supplied to tobacco industries, manufacturing industry and the rest of the other industries.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Zambezi Gas believes in giving back to the community in which we operate in through sustainable community development. To date we have been involved in the following projects:
Dam de-siltation project
Dam de-siltation project working with the Hwange Rural District Council. These dams provide water to different communities in Hwange District as well as support the community run nutrition gardens
Marist Dete Dam construction
The Marist Dete Dam construction which supplies Marist High School and the surrounding communities with water.
Drilling Community Boreholes
Drilling Community Boreholes 3 have been drilled so far in the province
